of glass. Risk your bare feet and
risk the hot sands. Risk your
honor and concept of truth.
Risk belief and brevity, risk
the comma and the breath
before the plunge. Risk the
half-smile, eye contact with
a stranger, risk handing over
your business card to someone
you have no business talking to.
Risk the lines on your palm,
your calluses, your word. Risk
your philosophy and your religion.
Risk the hairstyle, the pounding pulse,
the safety net. Risk all obvious bets.
